Posted by Oliver on August 1st, 2010 at 10:34 pmWe’re having two holidays this week. We are currently at Camp Bestival with Mummy and on Tuesday we are going to Cornwall with Daddy and his friends for a week. There will be four more children with us there so we should have lots of fun.

No nappies

The main driving force behind this was the fact that Daddy didn’t actually have any so I had to go without! still, I’ve been very good and haven’t had any accidents so far, but that might be because Daddy wakes me up about midnight and makes me have a wee!

Blue owls
Posted by Oliver on June 1st, 2010 at 4:33 pmI’m now in Blue owls at nursery. It was my first day there today and I enjoyed it a lot. It’s good there because I get to play with George all day now rather than just seeing him in the garden.
Little monkeys
Posted by Oliver on May 29th, 2010 at 9:49 pmWe went to Monkey Bizness in Lewes today. It was packed due to the inclement weather. We had previously gone to Bentley motor museum but the rain finally got the better of us and we left after a nice but wet and cold picnic! I had to wear Daddy’s coat because I was so cold, I warmed up quite quickly, and Dad seemed to get cold quite quickly too!

Posted by Oliver on May 7th, 2010 at 9:57 pmIt’s a hung parliament today. I’m not sure what it means but I don’t think Daddy is very happy with the outcome of the general election. He tried to explain it all to me the other day, but I was more interested in playing with my lightsaber. As long as Mummy and Daddy have enough money to keep me in lightsabers (I keep breaking them), I don’t really mind.
Three today

Mummy came back and we all spent the afternoon playing with my new presents. Then we all went to Frankie and Benny’s for a birthday tea. I wanted Emma (my nursery key worker) to come along too (she didn’t) and I want her to come to my birthday party on Saturday…

Daddy said that I will be a big boy tomorrow, but I corrected him and said I will still only be a little boy. This was more to do with the fact that I wanted a carry today and Daddy said big boys don’t need so many carries!

Strange

Potty time

Holiday
Posted by Oliver on February 1st, 2010 at 9:47 pmLast week we went on holiday to Centre Parcs in Suffolk. We had a great time there, Standing Up Grandad* came too. We went swimming every day. They had some water slides, which I went on, some rapids, which I went down, and big waves, which I bobbed in. As well as all that, I spent a lot of my time just laying on my back in the pool gently swimming along. I love swimming! George on the other hand didn’t like it at all when we first got there. He’s lost a lot of confidence in the water, but I showed him how to do it, and by the end of the week he was swimming again. I’m a good little brother.
* other Grandad is called Sitting Down Grandad on account of his wheelchair!
Party weekend
Posted by Oliver on January 17th, 2010 at 8:50 pmThis weekend has been very busy for us all. Yesterday was George’s birthday party. A bit late I know but we had to postpone it because of the snow. And today we went to Grace’s party. We also went to Tom, Deb and Jed’s house last night to see Karen as she was over from Spain. We always like going there because Jed is good fun and to make it even better, so were Iris and Eve.
Snow again
Posted by Oliver on January 12th, 2010 at 9:04 amWe’ve had so much snow lately it’s beginning to get silly. It’s day 6 and cars are still finding it difficult to get up and down the road. Dad and Kelvin and John did clear the pavement and road outside our houses but it’s only good when people actually get to our bit! Today is the first day that nursery has been open for a week so we are off there today. We are leaving early though for George’s special birthday tea.
Fun fun fun

Father Christmas brought me lots of presents as did family and friends. I’m a very lucky boy. I’ve also been told it’s the end of the year tomorrow and that there is also a blue moon. How exciting. I hope it really is blue…

Nursery
Posted by Oliver on December 1st, 2009 at 8:37 pmMummy went to the parents evening at nursery the other day. They all said how lovely I was (I mean, that’s obvious anyway isn’t it?). They also said that I prefer to spend time talking to the grown ups rather than the other children. That’s because I get more sense out of them!
Bump bump bump

New bedroom

It has a new window in, newly plastered walls, and will have a new carpet and a lick of paint very soon. I wanted a yellow room and George wanted it white, so a compromise is to be made….
Still in nappies

Big cuddles

Bear Hunt
Posted by Oliver on October 19th, 2009 at 12:16 amWe went to the theatre on Saturday morning before going to see Grandad and Granny for the weekend. We went with Mummy, Uncle Ian, Meghan, Alex and Amy. We saw ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. George got a bit scared of the snuffling bear noises and the loud growls he made in the dark but then he was relieved to see it was only a great big soppy teddy bear! I on the other hand loved the whole thing and sat on Uncle Ian’s lap to see it all. Daddy didn’t come with us though as he doesn’t like the book and so said he had no interest in it. Silly Daddy, he missed out on us all enjoying ourselves!
Getting darker
Posted by Oliver on October 12th, 2009 at 6:52 pmIt seems to be getting darker earlier in the evenings and staying darker in the mornings. As a result I seem to be getting much more sleep. I’m sure if it weren’t for George still waking up early Mummy and Daddy would get lots more sleep too!
