Piccy time

Daddy was chasing me round and round the house a few days ago pretending to be the big bad wolf. All was going well and I was giggling and running and running and giggling, then I tripped and launched myself straight into the door jamb. Boy did it hurt!

I’ve got a big old tooth coming through at the back of my mouth. What with that and my general ability to have a tantrum at the drop of a hat, I can be quite a handful!

Gus came over to see George yesterday, and we all played over the park and in the house. I like to join in on what ever bigger boys do, so I was running round with them copying everything. In the afternoon we went over to see Auntie Tracy and Ben and Amy as Daddy was at work and Mummy had to go to work for a meeting. Ben is much bigger than me and is really into playing shooting us at the moment. Needless to say, after a few minutes George and I were running round ‘killing’ each other with guns. Not sure if that’s a good thing really!
I’ve been able to count to 10 for quite sometime now, but I also know my colours now too. Red, Green, Blue and Yellow are no bother for me, and I’m just getting started on some of the others too.
When George and I go to nursery or playgroup Daddy has lots of jobs to do on the house. He’s made some cabinets for the front room and painted it all to look very nice. I especially enjoying opening and slamming the doors, but I’m not sure that Daddy likes me doing it. I am being a little bit difficult at times nowadays, I think I’m starting to get the hang of these terrible twos that everybody has been talking about.
It’s my birthday today. I’m now officially two, it seems a lifetime since this happened, and for me of course it is! I slept in my big boy bed last night without a dummy. It took me a while to get to sleep but I did it and I slept right through till I got too excited in the morning at 6am and wanted my presents. I got lots of great stuff including a bike from Mummy and Daddy, an Indiana Jones motorbike from George and lots of others things too. I also got lots of presents on Saturday from my cousins and the rest of the family. We’re off to the park today and then out for lunch.
I’m two years old tomorrow and to celebrate it we had a family party yesterday. Now, as you know, I’m obsessed with Peppa Pig, so Mummy made me a smashing cake for the day. Have a look at this little beauty…

I’ve got a temperature and am feeling a bit under the weather. I’ve been insisting on watching the 9 hours of Peppa Pig DVDs that Charlotte bought us. I just lie under a blanket on the sofa and watch it all back to back! There are some advantages of being poorly you know!
We all went away to Sandy balls in the New Forest a couple of weekends ago with Jon, Steph, Eleanor and Joseph. We had a great time staying in our log cabin. Mummy hired us all bikes and me and George went in a pod on the back of Daddy’s bike. Then we all set off for a nice ride to a pub. Daddy did his best and got us half way there but told everyone it was too hard to carry on as George and I were a bit heavy! Mummy and Jon didn’t believe him and tried to pull us along. Jon gave up after a few yards and Mummy didn’t really even get going. Needless to say that after that Daddy was allowed to turn back!

First off is obviously my Mum… Second Mummy is in fact my Dummy. THis can make it quite difficult for Dad when I say I want my Mummy, and if he assumes the incorrect one I c an get quite cross.

Sometimes I don’t like doing the things Mummy, Daddy or George want me to do, so I don’t do them. Here’s an example:
George: Ollie, you go with Mummy and me stay here with Daddy.
Ollie: No!
George: Yes Ollie
Ollie: No!!
George: But Ollie, Mummy said so
Ollie: No!!!
George: But but but…
Ollie: NO!!!

It snowed today. The last time we had lots of snow was on my birthday. I’m hoping it will snow more in the night so we can make a snowman in the morning. I’ve been reading my ‘that’s not my snowman’ book today to get ideas of how I want mine to look.
Mummy hasn’t come back from work yet. She went out for a quick drink after work with her friend and still hasn’t arrived home, Daddy spoke to her earlier but he said that everything she said was all jumbled up. I imagine I won’t see much of her tomorrow either as I doubt she’ll get out of bed all day…

When Daddy drops me off at nursery in the mornings I run straight to the room and as soon as the gate is open for me, I run straight in. Daddy always says Bye bye, but I simply give him a cursory backwards wave and go an start playing. Sometimes Daddy gets a kiss and a cuddle, but only if he pleads with me and I’ve nothing better to do.
Now that I’ve moved up a class at nursery (I’m in flamingoes now). I have to interact with older kids, this didn’t work too well yesterday when one of them clobbered my round the face with a spade! I’m alright but I’ve got a little bit of a cut under my eye and a bit of a shiner. Still, I’m made of tough stuff so it didn’t bother me too much!
Everyone was excited when we got up this morning. Everyone that is except me. I forgot it was George’s birthday even though he hasn’t stopped going on about it all week! Anyway, we all had a great time today, and best of all I got a little present too (I think Mummy thought I’d get a bit upset if George got them all!)
George had a party yesterday, apparently he’s having one next week too. Outrageous! Anyway, we all had a lot of fun but I think I ate too much chocolate.
Anyway, today we went to the park and then over to Charlotte’s house for a cup of tea. George and I got in her bed and refused to get out. I think we messed it up a bit really as we got right under the duvet and climbed out the sides. When we got home we watched Charlotte’s copy of WALL•E on Blu-Ray. It was very good and although it’s the umpteenth time I’ve seen it, I managed to watch most of it without wriggling about and getting distracted. I think I’m growing up.
I’ve got a mole just like George!
Ok, so I’m a little late. We had a great Christmas and new year, I got so many presents I can’t even remember them all. We all slept in quiet late on Christmas day actually, I think Mummy and Daddy were grateful for that. When we went downstairs we could see that Santa and Rudolf had eaten their snack and had left us lots and lots of presents. It took me a good portion of the morning to open them all. If I’m anything like George was this year, then I would imagine I’ll want even more next year!
It’s Christmas eve, that mean Father Christmas comes down the chimney tonight and leave us lots of presents. Daddy blocked up the chimneys and George didn’t want him coming in the back door so Daddy made a special ‘tunnel’ in the fireplace so that he could still get in. We left some special chocolate biscuits, a carrot and some port for him and Rudolf. I can’t wait to see if he comes in the night and leaves us all some presents.
Sorry, have been over a month since I last wrote on here. I’ve been very busy you know. We got back from New Zealand and I gave Daddy a really big cuddle when I saw him. When we got to our house, it all looked different as Dad had been busy doing some DIY on the front room. While I was in New Zealand I had a lot of fun with cousin Harvey and Uncle Max and Auntie Sarah. I will put some photos of us all on here soon. Going to make a bit of a new year resolution to post more entries on here too…
Mummy, George, Grandad and I are in New Zealand seeing Cousin Harvey, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Max, we’re having a great time. I’m a bit put out about Daddy not coming and am punishing him by not talking to him on the phone!
I think I’ve got a girlfriend. Maisy at nursery is my best friend. Daddy was talking to her Mum this morning and she said that I gave Maisy a big kiss last week and that Maisy ended up with a bit of a love bite afterwards. I don’t know what to say, I’m slightly embarrassed.
